Unlike the Clover device, the iPad offers more than just the payment system. Guests swipe and tap their way through your interactive menu and the mouth-watering, high-definition photographs that naturally promote larger guest check averages. It may be programmed to display promotions, change menus throughout the day, and call the waiter. This device is also more mobile. For instance, it can be carried to and away from tables by the waiter as guests come and go.

Like the Clover device, the iPad can process secure guest payment. It can also check balance and reward points on loyalty cards as well as prompt guests to tip. After payment, guests are asked to fill out a survey about their service, and they are more likely to participate than with traditional receipt surveys.
